本編熙事六年六、七月間，考證較詳。略云：此詞寫於杭州。「考東坡與張先往來酬和，蓋在熙寧五調離杭赴密只有[熙寧六年正月至十月或七年六月至九月間在杭州。查（蘇軾詩集》卷一一有（孤山二詠）之二竹阁卷一三有（和張子野見寄三绝句》之三（竹閣見憶》，「足證東坡在杭確曾與張先同遊過西湖，且有赴孤山竹閣瞻仰白居易祠堂之行[今以東坡與張先往來行實考之，此詞應編癸丑六七月間。考證頗具說服力，今從薛説。
